2011 has ushered in another round of unprecedented improvements at Chicago Yacht Yard. We have tuck-pointed, replaced and repaired our brick walls; removed replaced and repaired our roofs; insulated and replaced/repaired insulation; added heaters, repaired and improved our sprinkler systems; added new software and updated our computer systems and more.
For the 2011/2012 storage year we have added a second floor of storage in our main Building #1. This space was used in the past but has been closed for several years as the old skylights and roof were in need of improvement. This summer we replaced the roof, flashed the sky lights, created a new landing deck for boats on the roof, insulated and heated the floor, making way for another 30- 60 boats in heated naturally-lit loft space.
We have changes in the office too. Melissa has replaced Alicia in our office and brings extensive knowledge capabilities to our management and administration. We have implemented new software that will enable us to better communicate with and serve our customers.
